Welcome to the Office of Research and Planning. 

Higher education institutions today are being asked by their accrediting agencies and their communities to describe qualitatively and quantitatively their activities and outputs.  In order to do this, institutions must adopt a culture of using data and examining evidence as part of their planning and decision making processes.  The Office of Research and Planning, collaborating with various administrative offices within the college, is the focal point for such analyses and dissemination of such data.

The mission of the Shasta College Office of Research and Planning is to support administrative and academic planning and decision-making activities by providing data and analysis on a routine basis.  In addition to routine reporting, the Office of Research and Planning will initiate and complete ad hoc data collection and analyses that further describe the college’s activities for quality improvement, marketing and public information purposes.
